WHO WE ARE
The Backstreet Brush Project is the dream of 16 year old Lynwood resident and localist Sakina Lord. She wanted to create an event built upon the vision of connecting downtown Phoenix residents, students, and businesses through art. Her mission is to build community spaces where people can interact alongside local Phoenix artists.
She intends to inspire people of all generations to collaborate with their community in order to drive their passions.

SUPPORT THE ARTS
Our project is dedicated toward supporting local artists. We intend to use this alley activation event as an opportunity for the community to interact with some of Phoenix's most talented muralists.

EMPOWER YOUTH
The youth of our world are full of brilliant and creative ideas. We want to see more of these young people pursue their ideas and passions using the community around them for support. The Backstreet brush project seeks to develop connections to the community so more youth have an opportunity to pursue their passions and make lasting impacts.
